Bioinformatics II

Aim:
This course aims to introduce students to the advanced disciplines of bioinformatics based on high-throughput Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Technologies. Moreover, the course familiarizes students with different types of OMICS data and the appropriate tools for its analysis.

File formats for NGS data, algorithms and tools for NGS read alignment on genomic and transcriptomic levels, algorithms and tools for NGS read Alignment for genomic and transcriptomic reads, algorithms and tools for variant calling from genomic and transcriptomic reads, algorithms and tools for NGS read assembly (genomics and transcriptomics), Genome annotation algorithms and tools and RNASeq Data Analysis.
