Course Aim:
The course aim is to provide a solid background in the fundamentals of 1D and 2D digital processing. The course covers many of the major topics in the field, including audio and image representation, 1D and 2D linear systems theory and Fourier analysis, digital filtering, image registration, and image segmentation.
Course contents:
Introduction to 1D and 2D signals processing such as audio and image processing, Image representation, Image formation and the digital camera, Color perception and color spaces, Point operations, Spatial filtering, Image in the frequency Domain, Morphological operations, Image compression, Introduction to image segmentation, Applications on Image Processing. Image Restoration.
