Pre-calculus Mathematics

Course Aim:
The objective of this course is to provide the freshman students with basic concepts and theorems in calculus of single variable, focusing on differential calculus and introducing integral calculus.
Course contents:
Functions: polynomials, rational, trigonometric, and their domains –  Graphical representation of functions: shifting and reflecting functions – Composite functions inverse functions – Exponential and logarithmic functions – Limits of a function and their rules – Differentiation: definition, rules, implicit, chain rule, and parametric differentiation – Derivatives of trigonometric, exponential and logarithmic functions – Applications of Differentiation – Indefinite Integral and techniques of Integration – Definite integral and area under the graph.
