Ph.D. Degrees

Generally, students admitted to this Ph.D. program must hold an MSc.

Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or a related engineering discipline.

- It is allowed to accept students who have Master of Science degrees from other disciplines. In this case, these students will be obliged to take additional Master level courses to make these students' scientific background equivalent to the background of Master of Science graduates in Informatics and Computer Science

  • Application fee of LE 1000 is nonrefundable
  • Pass a committee interview

Program consists of 48 credit hours. Each course is equal to 3 credit hours. The 48 credit hours are divided as follows:

  • Four courses from the Track course pool (12 Credit Hours). Two of them are mandatory. The supervisor selected the other two courses

based on the research point.

  • 36 credit hours of real scientific contributions in preparing a Ph.D. thesis, publishing scientific papers, and defending the thesis.

Degree requirements must be completed within six years from the time of admission.

Courses are usually scheduled at 5:30 pm during weekdays, and they could be scheduled in the morning during weekends.

Fees per course are 9000 LE.

Yes, we provide scholarships. However, the scholarship is decided by the Director of the Program and the Business School Dean during the interview.

Scholarship is granted based on your GPA in the University, years of working experience, the personal statement you write when enrolling in the Program, your score in English you provide in your interview, and other criteria that are left to the Director of the Program and the School Dean.

Master's Degree

According to the Supreme Council for Universities, the time limit for a master's degree starting from its registration date is between two

and four years, excluding any approved excuses.

The maximum number of years required to finish your degree is five years.

The program is accredited by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities (SCU).

The Program consists of 36 credit hours. Each course is equal to 3 credit hours. The 36 credit hours

are divided as follows:

  • 12 hrs. core courses
  • 12 hrs. elective courses
  • 3 hrs. MOT/Business Course
  • 9 hrs. thesis

ITCS Master Program has the following specializations:

  • Informatics
  • Information Security
  • Software Engineering
  • Wireless Technology

If you graduate with a Master of Science (thesis), it allows you to continue your PhD studies.

Bioinformatics Diploma

Diploma courses are five courses. Fees per course are 5000 LE. The total fees are 25,000 LE.

The payment is per course registration every semester.

Time limit for completing the Diploma is in the period of 1 to 2 years.

  • - Graduate from biology/biotechnology or related fields or computer-Science/Engineering or related fields.
  • A grade of "Good" from recognized universities in Egypt or a GPA of 3.0 from an accredited university or Program.
  • Copy of BSc, MSc, or Ph.D. Certificate.
  • Recent CV
  • 1000 LE application fees (nonrefundable)

With the approval of the program director and the respective dean, up to 12 credit hours (4 courses) may be transferred. A grade of "B" or better must be earned in courses considered for transfer and courses transferred must be completed within the last five years.

Big Data Diploma

Diploma courses are five courses. Fees per course are 5800 LE. The total fees are 29,000 LE. The payment is per course registration every semester.

Time limit for completing the Diploma is in the period of 1 to 2 years.

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalentdegrees. Applicants holding non-computer-related degrees may also apply if they have proven sufficient experience in the IT field (e.g., attended IT diplomas, computer courses, etc.)
  • A grade of "Good" from recognized universities in Egypt or a GPA of 3.0 from an accredited University or Program.
  • A course in operating systems;
  • Programming experience in Java / Scala / Python is required
  • Undergraduate level in statistics, calculus, and algebra is required.
  • A general understanding of networking and distributed systems.
  • Familiarity with Linux and databases will be helpful.
  • Familiarity with math, statistics, and quantitative methods

  • Graduation Certificate, a copy is acceptable, but the original will be needed for those considering continuing to the Master's degree
