Applied Bioinformatics

This is an intensive course aiming to provide students with hands-on practice and experience working on bioinformatics projects. In the beginning of the course, a published paper will be handed to the students, where their task will be to repeat the analysis performed in the paper and reproduce the results. Since this is an applied course, students will perform bioinformatics data analysis to solve/answer the biological problem mentioned in the given paper. Students will be working in groups of 3 or 4 and by the end of the course, each group will present their results and methods that led towards it. The evaluation will be based on the presentation, quality of work and a written report.
